The west range has disappeared. However it is possible to see the outline on the ground when the weather is very dry. It is possible that it may have been made of wood. It usually contained the lay brothers' refectory, dormotory and storage accommodation. To complete the picture the visitor must imagine barns and byres, gardens, orchards and fields with stock and crops.
